I read “Death by Meetings” a second time lately. It is a great book, fun and informative. You can find the executive summary of the book here, but I would recommend reading the whole book.

The book is mostly about how an organization can have effectively regular meetings, including daily check in, weekly tactical meetings, monthly strategic meetings, and quarterly off-site reviews. In academic setting, we have lab meetings, individual progress meetings, collaboration meetings, organizational meetings, faculty meetings. Maybe there is not so much at stake, but I wish someone has written advices about them as well…
